Radars split weekend games
The Radars lost their home opener to Saugeen Shores on Friday but came back with a vengeance on Sunday afternoon in Milverton.
On Friday the Radars were, quite frankly, pretty bad for most of the night. The team fell behind 5-2 before scoring twice late in the third period to get within one goal. The last ten minutes of the game were the Radars best but ultimately their comeback fell short losing 5-4 to the Winterhawks. Sean Consitt scored twice, while Steven Shipley and Kurtis Bartliff each added one goal.
Sunday in Milverton was a much different story. The Radars came out of the gate flying and scored seven times in the first period. They added six more in the second and two in the third for a lopsided 15-4 victory. Ryan Watson lead the way with an incredible 6 goals and 1 assist. Ryan Murphy added 2 goals and 5 assists. Ray Huether and Bartliff also scored twice. Max Campbell, Derek Elliott and Consitt scored one apiece.
The Radars travel to Shallow Lake on Friday (Oct. 25). Game time is 8:30pm.
