Radars wrap up regular season
Submitted By Staff on Tuesday, January 28, 2020
The Radars ended their regular season on a high note with a 8-2 win over the Shelburne Muskies.
Cullen Mercer lead the way with three goals while Max Campbell, Ryan Murphy, Jamie Huber, Ryan Watson and Steven Shipley added one goal each. Greg Dodds made 28 saves in goal.
The Radars finish the year with 16 wins and 6 losses and will have home-ice for the first round of the playoffs.
So what do we know about the playoffs?
Ripley will finish finish 1st.
Saugeen Shores and Shelburne play Friday night. If Saugeen wins in regulation time they get 2nd. That would mean the Radars finish in 3rd. If Shelburne wins in regulation, they get 2nd, Saugeen gets 3rd and the Radars will be 4th. If Shelburne loses in overtime that one point will get them 3rd.
Basically the Radars will finish 3rd or 4th and we’ll know late Friday night and should open the playoffs at home on Friday, February 7.
Seaforth has 5th secured.
Tillsonburg, Durham and Minto are still jockeying for 6th, 7th and 8th...and that might not be settled until the final game on Sunday afternoon. This article has been viewed 627 times.
